Iraq- Selection complete of members of Independent High Electoral Commission

Today, the Supreme Judicial Council in Iraq, under the supervision of the United Nations, completed the lottery for selecting members of the Independent High Electoral Commission by selecting two judges from the Kurdistan region, which are Dahham Akram Omar and Omar Ahmed Muhammad, to join the winners of last week’s lottery, which resulted in the selection of 5 judges, Abbas Farhan Hassan, Jalil Adnan Khalaf, Amer Musa Muhammad, Fayyad Hussein Yassin and Ali Rashid, to complete the 7 members of the commission, In addition to two advisers from the State Council, they are: Inaam Yassin Muhammad and Fattah Muhammad Yassin, in implementation of the new Independent High Electoral Commission Law that the parliament enacted at the beginning of this month.
