Iraq – Keeping the demonstrations peaceful sets a block in the face of the sectarian strife

A number of Iraqi tribal elders participated in the ongoing demonstrations in Tahrir Square in central Baghdad, with the aim of supporting the demonstrators and affirming the validity of their demands for changing the political and economic reality of the country, the elders  stressed that their presence alongside the peaceful demonstrators comes in response to the call of the religious authority to intensify popular participation and maintain the peacefulness of the demonstrations regardless of attempts to provoke by any party, calling on the decision makers to move quickly towards implementing the demands of the demonstrators who are staying in the country’s squares until the implementation of the required and desired reforms.
