The demonstrators called to peacefully secede from Iraq in order to maintain the security and stability of the Kurdistan region, which houses all components and nationalities as well as sheltering hundreds of thousands of Iraqi refugees and displaced Syrians.
The aim of the mass demonstration, which is the first of its kind taking place in Kurdistan to urge the leadership in Kurdistan for a referendum to maintain the security and stability of the region after the deterioration of the security situation and the control of ISIS organization on large areas of Iraq and Syria
