Iraq – Demonstrators surround the Iranian Consulate in Karbala and raise the Iraqi flag over the gate

Hundreds of demonstrators surrounded the Iranian Consulate on Sunday evening in Karbala province, south of Baghdad, as demonstrations continued throughout Iraq, the demonstrators raised the Iraqi flag over the gate of the Iranian consulate building, set fire to its border, and cut off the streets surrounding the consulate, demonstrators also chanted anti-Iranian slogans, while security forces fired heavy live bullets into the air to disperse them, killing three demonstrators and injuring others in front of the Iranian Consulate in Karbala, moreover, the Iraqi capital of Baghdad and other southern provinces have been witnessing demonstrations since October 1st against the ruling elite, as well as Iran’s growing influence in the country, in which more than 250 people were killed and more than 10,000 injured.
