Yemen – Saudi forces replace UAE forces in Aden

Saudi forces have begun deploying in Aden province instead of UAE forces, as part of a Saudi-sponsored agreement between the Yemeni government and the Abu Dhabi-backed Southern Transitional Council, Military and strategic expert Ali Al-Khalafi said that the arrival of these forces in Aden in the south of the country is aimed at filling the vacuum left by the withdrawal of the UAE for a large part of its forces there.The Jeddah agreement came in the context of armed clashes that took place several weeks ago between government forces on the one hand and the UAE-backed Transitional Council forces on the other.
