Iraq – Security forces prevent demonstrators from reaching the Green Zone

Dozens of Iraqi demonstrators managed to bypass the first security barrier at the top of the Al-Jumhuriya Bridge, which connects Tahrir Square to the Green Zone, which houses all government headquarters, before being confronted by security forces with tear gas, moreover, Tahrir Square continues to welcome demonstrators from various Iraqi provinces as a part of the second wave of demonstrations sought by the country, with a broad participation of sheikhs and clerics, amid calls for a protest of millions in the arena that has become a symbol of the Iraqi movement demanding political and economic reforms,furthermore, around 80 people have been killed and dozens injured since the second wave of protests began last Friday.
