Iraq – Demonstrations continue in Karbala despite a bloody night

Many residents of central Iraq’s Karbala province continued their demonstration in the Tarbya square near the provincial building on the fifth consecutive day of protests against government corruption, following a bloody night in Karbala that killed at least 18 people and injured hundreds of demonstrators after the Iraqi police fired on them in order to disperse them, according to field sources, although the governor of Karbala denied that there were deaths in the demonstrations against the government, noting that the videos published were fake and were a form of propaganda in order to fuel the Karbali street.
