Iraq – Fingers pointing at Iran in the incident of targeting the vicinity of the U.S. Embassy

On Monday, the perimeter of the U.S. Embassy, located in the Green Zone of the Iraqi capital Baghdad, was targeted by (3) Katyusha rockets, the security authorities suggested that these rockets were launched from the position of Hor Rajab south of Baghdad, which is the stronghold of a number of armed factions loyal to Iran, analysts have found that this targeting seeks to escalate the situation between Baghdad and Washington by dragging Iraq into the Iran-U.S. conflict.
