Syria : Rise in food prices
Citizens in the northeast of Syria are suffering from a sharp rise in food prices, due to the closure of border crossings on one hand, and the difficulty of delivering materials from inside Syria to the northern areas because ISIS is controlling the roads that connect between the regions in Syria.
The suffering of Syrians increased because of food prices rising caused by the war and the closure of border crossings with the neighboring countries, and the difficulty of delivering materials from inside Syria to the northern areas because ISIS is controlling some connecting roads between regions within Syria and the north, in addition to the rise of the foreign exchange rate terms which reflected directly on the lives of citizens.
Markets in Syria are witnessing a sharp rise on all foodstuffs, vegetables and food of all kinds, which have negatively affected the lives of citizens and led to a rise in unemployment.
