Syria – First American-Turkish patrol conducted in the safe area of northern Syria

The first joint ground patrols between the U.S. and Turkish armies were launched yesterday morning in the Tel Abyad area near the Turkish border in northern Syria, in implementation of the agreement of the safe zone to be established in the north of Syria and concluded between the two parties, the joint patrol proceeded from the Syrian Turkish border towards the Syrian depth about 10 kilometers, after the removal of part of the separation wall to facilitate the entry of Turkish vehicles into Syrian territory, the patrol roamed a small area of the western countryside of the city of Ras al-Ain in the village of Hashish near the town of Soluk to return to its basis.
