Syria- Farmers of Deir Ezzor countryside complain about high prices of fertilizers and gasoline

A number of farmers in the western countryside of Deir Ezzor in eastern Syria complained about the weakness of the summer agricultural season this year, due to the high prices of gasoline and it’s difficulty in reaching farmers, which led to a raise in the agricultural tractors rent prices, in addition to the high prices of fertilizers and medicines, farmers in this region, which is heavily dependent on agriculture, are asking the competent authorities and the Agriculture Committee to provide support, assistance, fertilizers,  seeds and gasoline at low prices, in addition to raising the price of cotton, whose crop was damaged last year by insects as well as compensating for the loss of farmers.
