Iraq: Fierce battles between Iraqi forces and ISIS South of Fallujah
Joint Iraqi forces managed to free several villages in the southern hub of Fallujah west of Baghdad city, within three days from the beginning of the battle to liberate Fallujah.
Joint Iraqi forces took control of several villages in the southern hub of Fallujah after fierce battles with ISIS in the southern axis during the three days since the start of the battle to liberate Fallujah.
Military leaders confirmed that the battle was difficult, where ISIS tried to repel the attack with car bombs and improvised explosive devices deployed in the region, in addition to the spread of snipers from ISIS on rooftops, but they managed to free Amiriyah-Fallujah road “the intersection of peace”. International Alliance Airways also participated in resolving the battle in favor of the joint Iraqi forces.
