Jordan – Preliminary negotiations between the Yemeni parties on the Hudaydah Agreement concluded

The meeting of the Yemeni Parties, held at the invitation of the UN special envoy to Yemen, Martin Griffiths, was attended by the representatives of the Yemeni government and the Houthis, and was finally concluded at the Intercontinental Hotel in Amman, Jordan, on Thursday, after discussing the implementation of the economic provisions of the Hudaydah agreement that includes the administration revenues from Yemeni ports on the shores of the Red Sea, the meeting led to establishing the bases of organizing the economic relations between the two parties, according to the Head of the economic delegation, Ahmad Alshami, the transfer of the central bank from the Yemeni capital Sana’a to Aden contradicts with the constitution, the Head of the Yemeni government’s economic delegation, Mohammed Al Omrani, said that the agreement could only be done if the governmental institutions that are currently under the control of the Houthis in the Hudaydah governorate in western Yemen, were under the administration of the legitimate government, calling on the United Nations to impose its real presence inside the ports in order to collect revenues and deposit them at the central bank in Aden.
