Iraq: Parliamentary claims to stop fighting in Tuzhurmatu
Iraqi Parliament members called on the Iraqi government to intervene to stop the fighting between the Peshmerga forces and the popular crowd in Tuzhurmatu in Saladin province in northeastern Iraq, which killed and wounded dozens.
Turkmen MP Neyazi Muamer Oghlu held a press conference inside the Iraqi parliament building in Baghdad to demand the Iraqi government to intervene to stop the fighting with the popular crowd forces and the Peshmerga forces in the city of Tuzhurmatu several days ago, which killed and wounded dozens on both sides plus a widespread destruction of civilian property in the region.
He criticized the House of Representatives silence in Baghdad for what is happening in the city of bloody clashes and their intolerances towards the citizens.
The battles and clashes between the Peshmerga forces and the popular crowd repeated in Tuz city which is located within the disputed regions between the governments in Baghdad and Erbil, where there is diversity of a population of Arabs, Kurds and Turkmen.
