Iraq – Shorja market, citizens’ shopping destination ahead of Ramadan

Iraqis have got into the habit of heading to Al Shorja market ahead of Ramadan, since it is one of Baghdad’s oldest markets, and it is one of the most frequented shopping destination for many Iraqi families who visit it to shop their food items for the holy month of Ramadan, especially as the security situation in Iraq is beginning to stabilize, and most of the capital’s streets have been opened for the first time since 2003.
