Syria: Syrian opposition repels an attack by ISIS on the city of Mare
Syrian opposition forces foiled a new infiltration attempt of ISIS to Mare’ in the city of Aleppo in the north, and the opposition forces were able to thwart the attack and cause losses among the ranks of the organization, which led the members of the organization to retreat towards their defense lines around the city of Mare’.
Mare’ city in the northern countryside of Aleppo, was exposed to several attacks by ISIS in attempts to control the city, and the Syrian opposition rebels recently managed to repel a surprising attack by elements of ISIS targeted Mare’ City.
According to eyewitnesses, elements of ISIS tried to infiltrate to the city Mare’ on Wednesday morning, followed by the bombing of three car bombs driven by suicide bombers from the organization, in an attempt by the organization to break the first lines of defense for the almost besieged city, but the rebels were able to thwart the attack which is the fiercest in the storming of the city and opposition forces managed to kill more than twenty element and wound others of ISIS fighters, forcing the them to retreat towards their defense lines around the city.
It is noteworthy that Mare’city follows the province of Aleppo and it’s 35 kilometers to the north far from Aleppo, and 25 kilometers far from the Turkish-Syrian border.
