Syria – Yazidis in Hasaka celebrate the Yazidi New Year’s Eve

On Wednesday, the Yazidis celebrated in the city of Amouda, in the northeastern province of Hasakeh, the Yazidi New Year, on the first Wednesday in April East every year, this holiday is considered according to the Yazidi beliefs the day of nature creation and embellishing the earth,the families meet to practice their diverse religious rituals, which is rooted in the time of the Acadian, Babylonians and Assyrians, the Yazidis use the name of  “Gershri Sri Nisani” for this day, while some call it the red Wednesday or “Jarimba sur”
