Yemen – Woman succeeds in incense trade despite the challenges

Although Yemen is going through challenging circumstances, but Yemeni women were capable of paving their ways to success and growth in various types of projects, not only locally, but also regionally and internationally. The young woman Hiba works in manufacturing and selling incense in different scents and shapes, where she launched her own project in 2013 and named it “Hbabh Aden”, and started to advertise and promote her products online through social media platforms, and then later she opened her own shop in Aden to sell her products. Hiba also ships and delivers her products to all Yemeni governorates and to several Arab and foreign countries too. As for the manufacturing process, Hiba stated that the process starts with cooking first and then aging, which sometimes takes eight months. She added that some kinds of incense are buried and brewed for several months under the soil in order to extract special and unique fragrances.
