Yemen – Clashes between government forces and Houthis escalate in north Dhale.

Clashes ongoing for several days between Yemeni government forces backed by the Security Belt and Houthis in Marees of north Dhale governorate in south Yemen escalated as both sides used various types of weapons including heavy artillery. Deputy commander of the Security Belt in Marees, Ali Al-Jama’i confirmed that the government forces are on the outskirts of Damt city and preparing to advance toward the city in the coming days.
