Iraq – Launching Africa-Arab Platform for counter-terrorism

The Africa-Arab Platform was launched in Iraqi capital Baghdad with the participation of the Speaker of Iraqi Parliament, former Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi, a number of ambassadors, African and Arab politicians and diplomatic missions. Mohammed Al-Halbousi, speaker of Iraqi Parliament called for redefining the terms of terrorism and extremism due to the diversity in aggressive acts and attacks committed by countries against other countries, spreading terms of peace and social diversity, as well as challenging terrorism and extremism. El Hadi Nema Abdallah, head of the Arab African Federation for Development and Culture mentioned Iraq’s success in eliminating terrorism, militarily and ideologically. He emphasized benefiting from Iraq’s expertise to eliminate this occurrence.
