A group of angry protesters blocked the Iraqi President and Governor of Nineveh’s pathway on their visit to sinking ferry site in Mosul, which killed over 88 people, most of them were women and children. The masses surrounded the President’s convoy and stopped him from getting to the incident’s site, while one of the governor’s cars ran over two citizens, prompting protesters to throw rocks at the governor’s convoy before he leaves the area. The Civil defense rescue teams and the river police continue to search for corpses of missing people along the banks of the Tigris River in Mosul. Hundreds of people have gathered outside the Forensic Medicine gate since last night, waiting to hear about their missing children, while their numbers remain unknown to the security authorities. As reported by Nineveh’s Health Director, 88 corpses have been handed over to the forensic medicine in Mosul.
