Iraq – Cement blocks lifting continues in Baghdad

Baghdad Municipality cadres continues to cooperate with the General Directorate of Traffic and the Baghdad Operations Command (BOC), in a joint campaign to remove the cement blocks surrounding the Sheraton Hotel and Meridian Hotel in Abu Nuwas St., Karrada City, in central Baghdad. They also cleaned the area and rehabilitated it. Muhammad Adham, who is an engineer in the Municipality of Baghdad, stated that the cement blocks lifting campaign included planting trees and renovating the streets of Baghdad, in addition to cleaning them to beautify the city’s image.
