Iraq – Erbil celebrates Valentine’s Day with a ceremony of love and coexistence

Intellectuals and civic activists celebrated Valentine’s Day by holding a ceremony of love and Coexistence. They celebrated by placing coexistence locks along the fence of the Lake of Park Sami Abdul Rahman in Erbil, Kurdistan. The ceremony witnessed a broad participation by people who celebrate Valentine’s Day, where some of the activities included couples who locked a padlock to the fence of the lake and then threw the key in the river to symbolize their eternal love for each other. The ceremony participants delivered speeches and poems on how the event contributes to spreading love among people.
