Syria: Kurds will not participate in parliamentary elections
The Kurdish parties in the north-eastern Syria confirmed their non-participation and boycott to the parliamentary elections announced by the Syrian regime on the 13th of this month, for the fact that these elections will not be able to solve the Syrian crisis, as well as the lack of public of international interest in the election under the destruction and killings by the Syrian regime, which led to the displacement of about half of the Syrian people.
The Kurdish parties officials in the north-eastern Syria confirmed their non-participation and boycott to the parliamentary elections announced by the Syrian regime on the 13th of this month since the current Syrian situation which has been the same for the past 5 years cannot handle parliamentary elections, especially under the destruction and killings by the Syrian regime, which led to the displacement of about half of the Syrian people.
Kurdish politicians confirmed the non participation of the Kurdish parties and national figures and Kurdish cultural events in those elections, and considered these elections as illegal and futile, and the Syrian regime must postpone the elections until the Geneva negotiations reaches to a point that can be built upon as well as a constitution with formation of a governing transition body to decide the fate of the Syrian people.
