Yemen – Red Cross Operations director talks about the painful humanitarian situation in Yemen

The head of the International Committee of the Red Cross in the Middle East and North Africa Fabrizio Carbone said that the citizens in Yemen have been working since morning on supplying food, medicine and needed medical support for their families. He also pointed out that the ongoing conflict unveiled how much civilians are suffering and how poor public services are, emphasising that the best solution for the situation in Yemen is to address the political crisis and grant citizens peace and security. This was mentioned in a press conference held in the temporary capital Aden located in south of Yemen, in which he talked about the humanitarian situation in Yemen after spending 48 hours in the country.
