Yemen – UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator visits Al-Rabat refugee camp

The UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator in Yemen, Mark Lowcock, paid a visit today to Al-Rabat refugee camp in Lahj accompanied with Major General Ahmad Abdullah Al-Turki, Governor of Lahj and Dr. Hassan Ali Taher, Governor of Hudaydah. The visit was aimed at checking on the refugees and learning about the most important issues they face in the camp. During his visit, Lowcock got briefed on the needs of the displaced. The Governor of Lahj, Al-Turki, pointed out that the camp urgently needs a lot of basic services, most importantly food, sanitation and new tents.
