On the occasion of International Children’s Day, which the United Nations General Assembly started celebrating on November 20 from each year, activists and experts in the childhood field demanded more care and financial and psychological support to be given to children, especially those who still live in camps with their families, and the children of Mosul, since it was under the control of ISIS in recent years. These children have been exposed to so many psychological traumas as they suffer challenging displacement circumstances, and most of them were witnesses to the crimes committed by ISIS. Experts also stressed the need to increase child care in the areas that were liberated from ISIS, in addition to launching more psychological rehabilitation programs and increasing school activities such as music, painting and sports, pointing out that the rehabilitation programs carried out in schools have resulted in good outcomes and that the students’ situations have generally improved.
