Syria –The Armenian community’s destination in Hasaka faces neglect

ISIS did not leave anything as it is during its control over Hasakah, north-east of Syria, and perhaps the Armenian Martyrs Church in Markada makes the best example of the destruction and devastation caused by ISIS in the town. This church is considered to be one of the most prominent landmarks of the Armenians and the Orthodox, not to mention that it is a holy destination for the people of this community in all over the world. A number of people in the town said that no one has come to rebuild the church after it was destroyed and robbed by ISIS.
