Syria – Raqqa cleans the dust of war and prepares for the return of its inhabitants

The Raqqa Civil Council completes the reconstruction of Raqqa city through removing the rubble from the main neighborhoods and roads, as well as fixing water networks to deliver potable water to the homes of citizens, and rehabilitating sewage and electricity networks. The officials of the reconstruction committee of the council and other local officials explained that the teams had managed to remove more than 217 cubic meters of rubble left by the fighting against ISIS in 15 neighborhoods in Raqqa, and that they are close to completing the water-related extensions, noting that these procedures are preparations for the return of the population that was displaced by the fighting.
