Alou is a Yazidi boy who has recently been freed from the grip of ISIS with three of his Yazidi peers. They were arrested in Sinjar in northern Iraq four years ago. Alou suffers from a difficult psychological situation as he cannot forget what happened to him and his family when the organization killed his father before his eyes, and he was bundled with dozens of Yazidis in training camps for ISIS cops in Syria, where he received military training at the organization’s camps. He narrates how the organization used to brainwash the boys to use them in combat operations. The boy asks for the release of the remaining Yazidis abductees who are still unaccounted for. Survivors’ families also call on the concerned organizations to provide psychosocial support and rehabilitation for the survivors who suffer from psychological crises.
