Iraq – Features of neglect shows on Baghdad’s architectural heritage

The role of Iraqi institutions in the preservation of architectural heritage in Baghdad places the history of ancient neighborhoods at stake which is a testament to the urban development and social transformations witnessed in these areas. These neglected homes and old houses were inhabited by political, literary, cultural and artistic personalities who played a role in the development of Iraq, and due to the neglect that has been associated with this legacy, efforts have been found by civil society to seek to document the heritage houses by putting a mark on it, in order to inform the citizens of the house that possesses these features.
