Iraq – Analysts: Supreme religious reference support the demands of protesters

Political analysts believe that the speech of the Karbala Supreme religious reference and official representative of Grand Ayatollah Sayed Ali Al-Sistani, Abdul Mahdi al-Karbalai, is in line with the demands of demonstrators, protesters and the civil community in Iraq, which gives them a push to proceed with the pressure in the next phase, which will show the results of the elections and the formation of the government. They pointed out the importance of the awareness of political forces of where Iraq has reached in light of the anger of the people who were denied services since 2003 and they demanded for the provision of services such as electricity, drinking water and job opportunities, as well as the elimination of corruption.
