Iraq – Fishing in the Mosul Dam has declined due to the low level of the Tigris River

Fishermen in the city of Mosul complained about the decline of fishing in the lake of Mosul Dam due to low levels of water of Tigris River, which flows into the dam after the construction of Ilısu Dam in southeastern Turkey. The fishermen’s sufferings is increased due to the difficulty of marketing of their fish, which led to a decline in the number of fishermen from 100 to 80 fishermen
