Steve Satti is a Christian guy who works in sewing and embroidering traditional costumes of Nineveh Plain in northern Iraq, where he spends most of his time reviving the Syriac, Assyrian and Chaldean heritage and folklore in order to protect this historical legacy from extinction. He also searches for old clothes in different areas of Nineveh, which was liberated from the control of ISIS and received its residents back, he gets pieces of those costumes and creates new costumes out of them. Al-Satti is keen to blend folkloric fashion with modernity through embossing and embroidery to cope with all occasions, and he recently embroidered outfits that are being worn during the month of Ramadan.
