Iraq – Specialists have divergent views on the extent to which the Iraqi market is affected by US sanctions against Iran.

The views of specialists and businessmen differed about the extent to which the market in Iraq and the Kurdistan region was affected by the economic sanctions imposed by the United States of America on Iran. Some believe that their effects have not yet appeared or that the market in the Kurdistan region and the economic situation in general won’t be affected so much. Other economic specialists pointed out that large companies might be affected by those sanctions and that trade exchanges between the two countries might relatively decline, and prices might increase, if the sanctions were applied.
