Iraq – Al Bayati, the first woman to own a publishing house in Iraq

Bara’ Al-Bayati is the first Iraqi young woman to own a publishing house in Baghdad after she was selling books on a sidewalk in Al-Mutanabbi Street in the Iraqi capital of Baghdad, thus breaking the male monopoly on the profession of printing books and selling them despite the many difficulties and challenges that she faced, she left all the negativity behind her and stayed positive until she became the way she is now. Al-Bayati praised the role of men who support women and encourage them to visit Al-Mutanabi Street and attend seminars and cultural events.
