Iraq – Peace marathon in Erbil

Erbil – Kurdistan Region – Iraq 11/3/2018

With the aim of conveying the message of peace, brotherhood and co-existence in Iraqi Kurdistan region, the International Peace Marathon kicked off today in Erbil, on the occasion of the anniversary of the liberation of the city in 91 and the Nowruz celebrations. The marathon included 21 km and 5 km as a family marathon and 2 km for Children and special needs children. The marathon was organized by the Marathon of Peace and Ibn Al-Mustawfi in Kurdistan. Diplomatic missions and international institutions and organizations operating in the region also participated in the marathon.
