Iraq – Iraq resumes paying compensation for invasion of Kuwait

Political experts and economists confirmed that Iraq has resumed payment of compensation for Iraq’s 1990 invasion of Kuwait. The Iraqi government began to pay the Iraqi dues in cash in accordance with an agreement held under the umbrella of the United Nations program, which announced that the rate of payments from the Iraqi Fund for compensation to Kuwait will increase annually until 2021, which will lead to significant depletion in the Iraqi budget, especially after Iraq war against terrorism and reconstruction programs for newly liberated areas.
