The history of Al-Mutanabi Street, which is located in the heart of the capital Baghdad, dates back to the Abbasid era. It has become famous since that time for its libraries and for embracing the most prestigious cultural institutions. Until this day, the street is crowded with researchers seeking a place to exchange cultural and social news. The bombings witnessed by Iraq did not stop libraries owners from opening their doors to pioneers of writers and intellectuals.
