Yemen – Three al-Qaeda members were killed in a security raid in Aden

Aden-Yemen 15/12/2017 

The security forces of the Special Unit for Combating Terrorism and the emergency forces of Aden Security Department raided a residential apartment in which al-Qaeda members were holed up in Cairo district of Aden governorate. There were violent clashes between the security forces and the armed members of the organization and more than three were killed and some of them were captured and a number of security members were also injured. During the raid, the security forces found an integrated plant for manufacturing car bombs containing a large number of weapons and explosives, including artillery shells and anti-tank mines and explosive belts, according to Colonel Mohammed Musa’ed, expert in terrorist and security groups.
