Ashura is a religious Islamic day celebrated by the Sunna and Shia, it is the day Imam Alhussain Bin Ali Bin Abi Talib got killed. Haresa, Qema and Zarda are popular Iraqi dishes related to Ashura days in which Iraqis celebrate with cooking and distributing food which is a ritual inherited from the ancestors.
