Iraq – Start of the voting on the Kurdistan independence referendum

Voting process started on the referendum on the independence of Kurdistan in the cities of Kurdistan and the disputed areas, including Kirkuk where the voters stood in lines in front of polling stations, the number of voters is three million nine hundred thousand people and the number of polling stations is a thousand and seven hundred and thirty-seven centers. About 400 international observers are involved in monitoring the operation as well as covering the voting process by more than 150 international media outlets and about 500 local journalists.
