Iraq – Launch of military operations to liberate western Anbar areas

Iraqi forces have launched a military operation to liberate the Akashat area west of Anbar province between the towns of al-Rutba and al-Qa’im, in order to open the wide road towards Akashat, to clear the area and secure its northern international border.
