Iraq – Al Wasti Festival of Fine Arts

The Wasti Festival of Fine Arts opened in the halls of the exhibition section of the Arts Department in Baghdad on Monday morning, in memory of the artist Al Wasti who is one of the pioneers of the miniaturized image in the Arab Islamic civilization and the symbol of artistic renaissance in Iraq. The exhibition, which was launched by agent of the Minister of Culture, Jaber Al-Jabri, and the Director General of the Fine Arts Department, Shafiq al-Mahdi, included many works and a variety of drawing, ceramics, sculpture and calligraphy
