Jordan – Folded knifes industry, a traditional craft inherited through generations.

The folded knife is one of the individual hand-made weapons used by Bedouins in the past and modern times. It is considered an important weapon for the Bedawi and it has a special place. It is called Shebriyah because it’s only an inch long. Shibriya is a double-edged convex knife that is usually made of steel, ivory, bone, or solid wood that men put in a belt around their waist. Zaid al-Muhaisen tells the story of how he learned the craft of Shibriya industry, which is known as Shubria of al-Muhaisin, in addition to manufacturing daggers and swords.
