Iraq – Jordanian foreign minister arrives in Baghdad

Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman al-Safadi arrived in Baghdad on Thursday, where he met with the three presidencies and discussed several issues, including strengthening bilateral relations in terms of politics, security and intelligence cooperation and unifying positions on the elimination of ISIS in the region. The two sides discussed preparing the requirements to accelerate the opening of the border crossing, “Trebil”, between Jordan and Iraq. The Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi and the Iraqi Foreign Minister Ibrahim Jaafari also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two countries
