jordan – Yemen’s humanitarian coordinator appeals to the international community for more support to fight the Cholera epidemic

Amman – Jordan 16/6/2017

Yemen’s humanitarian coordinator Jamie McGoldrick held a press conference in Amman today, declaring that there are more than 35,500 suspected cases of cholera and one third of them are children as well as 970 cholera-related deaths, which indicates the rapid spread of cholera in Yemen. He also appealed to the United Nations to provide financial and political support to help avoid what could lead to further destruction in Yemen.
