Iraq – Iraqi forces advancement in the old city of Mosul

The Iraqi security forces continue their encirclement for ISIS elements who are holed up in the old city west of Mosul, where Iraqi forces, during its slow progress, seek to maintain the safety of civilians who are trapped by the organization in those areas. The organization uses traditional methods such as booby-trapping and explosive devices and suicide bombers, while the Iraqi forces continue to directly target ISIS gatherings and snipers
