Soundbite (Sari Al-Saqqaf – Citizen):
“Yemenis are feeling optimistic regarding these negotiations having positive results. The discussions involved four main points including the exchange of prisoners, the opening of Sanaa International Airport, releasing the impounded petroleum tankers and most importantly ending the war. A two-month ceasefire is a major initiative that we hope will end the war once and for all.”
Soundbite (Zain Abu Baker – Citizen):
“Hopefully the ceasefire lasts not two months but forever so that we never see war again.”
Soundbite (Waheeb Al-Hakeemi – Citizen):
“We are happy about this truce, especially the opening of Sanaa International Airport and crossings to Taiz.”
Soundbite (Nashwan Al-Habashi – Citizen):
“We citizens hope for peace in the region and for crossings to be opened to Taiz that has been besieged for seven years.”
