Storyline:
For the fourth year in a row, Global Shapers Aden organized the Aden Cake Exhibition for cake art, sponsored by the Al-Sanabel Foundation. The exhibition is the first of its kind at the local level and the Arabian Peninsula since its launch in 2018. Twenty people participated in the exhibition, which aims to highlight cake decoration art and connect those talented in cake making to the market, helping them promote their products and increasing income opportunities. The exhibition coincides with the holy month of Ramadan, during which people get more interested in making desserts. Emerging projects in this industry surged after the launch of the exhibition.
Shot list:
– Soundbite (Abeer Mohammad – Participant):
“The main focus in this exhibition is on making wedding cake designs. I tried to make my cake in the form of a wedding dress and a bouquet of flowers. We faced some obstacles with regard to electricity and the high prices of materials. I participated in the third edition of this exhibition. Even though I was a beginner at the time, I have achieved great success.”
– Soundbite (Yazeed Ahmed – Visitor):
“I am happy to attend the event. It is great to care about a special talent and special art, which is the art of cake making. There is a need to pay attention to these groups that develop the economy of the country.”
